I am a foodie from Memphis, TN. I enjoy cooking, entertaining, and living a beautiful life. I draw my inspiration from Julia Child, Jackie Kennedy, and Alexandra Stoddard. The blog is named for Tessie Oelrichs, known as The Gracious Hostess among the leaders of the Newport, RI, summer colony of the Gilded Age. She lived at Rosecliff where the movie, The Great Gatsby, was filmed. I am also a voracious fan of Downton Abbey. It is my desire to bring back the art of elegant dining.
